T-T Supplies Valves to Hong Kong

T-T Flow®, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of waterworks valves and ancillary equipment, has manufactured and supplied several key components to the prestigious HK$170 million Sha Tin Sewage Treatment Works Stage III Extension (phase 2 works) in Hong Kong. 

When faced with imminent deadlines, a need for superior quality and a personal, client-focused service, a well-known global contractor turned to T-T for the selection and supply of bespoke valve assemblies. After extensive technical discussion with the contractor, T-T selected the most appropriate valve; its popular figure 2200 ductile iron swing check valve. 

Each unit supplied came complete with flow sensing switch, which was securely mounted within the safety guard confines, and electrically tested prior to dispatch. Sha Tin Sewage Treatment Works serves a population of 640,000 residents in Sha Tin and Ma On Shan areas of Hong Kong, generating a daily sewage flow of approximately 220,000 cubic metres. It is estimated that by 2016 with an increase in the population, the sewage flow is expected to reach 340.000 cubic metres a day.
