ATEX Pumps
T-T’s ATEX-approved product range delivers safe, reliable liquid handling for modern hazardous environments, including Zone 0 and Zone 1-rated applications in wastewater, industrial processing, and chemical handling. The range includes submersible sewage and drainage pumps, chopper pumps, and level control systems for use in atmospheres containing explosive gases, vapours, or dusts.
Why ATEX Approval Is Critical
ATEX certification establishes that equipment is designed and tested for use in areas where there is a risk of explosion from combustible gases, vapours, or dust. The ATEX-approved products sold by T-T are highly evaluated for compliance with existing standards and help operators keep sites safe, maintain uptime, and remain compliant.
We also have specialised ATEX Pumps and controls suitable for ATEX zones.
Key ATEX Product Highlights
Across hazardous wastewater and industrial sites, operators increasingly need pumping solutions that can handle high solids, explosive atmospheres and demanding duty cycles without unplanned downtime. This range of ATEX‑approved submersible and hydraulic pumps, supported by specialist chopper technology and intrinsically safe level control, has been developed to meet those challenges, combining robust construction, advanced hydraulics and certified safety to keep sewage, effluent and contaminated liquids moving reliably in some of the toughest environments.
V-FLOW ATEX Submersible Sewage Pumps: The V‑Flow EExd IIB T4 submersible sewage pump range has been developed for hazardous sites where fibrous sewage, effluent and drainage water must be pumped safely in Zone 1 gas atmospheres. Its vortex impeller provides 100 mm solids passage to minimise blockages, while the explosion‑proof motor, cast‑iron construction and double mechanical seal in an oil bath deliver long service life and reliable operation in demanding pumping stations.
E-FLOW ATEX-Certified Submersible Pumps: The E‑Flow EExd IIB T4 submersible pump range has been designed specifically for hazardous and potentially explosive environments that demand fully ATEX‑certified drainage solutions. With flameproof construction, heavy‑duty cast‑iron build, a double mechanical seal in an oil bath and solids handling up to 105 mm, these pumps provide safe, dependable transfer of flammable or volatile liquids in Zone 1 wastewater, petrochemical and industrial applications.
Grey Series Submersible Pumps: The Zenit Grey Series of submersible pumps has been engineered as a versatile wastewater platform for everything from clear water and effluent to unstrained sewage and fibrous industrial flows. Completely redesigned hydraulics, multiple impeller options and robust cast‑iron construction give excellent solids handling and anti‑clog performance, helping to cut breakdowns and keep pumping costs low in civil, agricultural and industrial plants. Available in standard and ATEX versions
UNIQA Series Submersible Pumps: The Zenit UNIQA Series has been developed for heavy‑duty professional pumping stations where high efficiency, flexible hydraulics and long service life are essential. High‑efficiency IE3 motors, a choice of vortex, channel, chopper and grinder hydraulics and ATEX‑certified options allow UNIQA pumps to move sewage and industrial wastewater containing solids and fibres while reducing energy use and maintenance demands.
SP21 Hydraulic ATEX Trash Pump: The SP21 ATEX hydraulic trash pump is a compact, powerful unit created for dewatering and emergency pumping in confined or hazardous locations such as trenches and manholes. Its stainless‑steel body, cast‑iron impeller, ability to run dry and handle thick, muddy liquids, and an intrinsically safe hydraulic drive make it ideal for construction and site drainage where reliability and impact resistance are critical.
PTS-EX Chopper Pumps: The Cri-Man PTS 65-150 Series – Submersible ATEX Chopper pump has been developed in response to the current problems of ragging, fatbergs, and clogging in sewer and pumping stations. The chopping action effectively breaks solid materials into small, manageable pieces, helping the system run smoothly and eliminating blockages. The ATEX version pump will help address some of the key issues many players in the wastewater industry face.
FLO101 Float Switch: T-T has also invested in developing the FLO101 float switch, which has received ATEX and IECEx approvals. After extensive research and collaboration with industry experts, the FLO101 is now certified for use in Zone 0 applications. The float switch contains a low-current microswitch, compatible with intrinsically safe systems, ensuring reliable operation in hazardous gas environments.
