Nestled on the banks of the River Thames, Craven Cottage is the oldest football stadium in London and has been the home of Fulham Football Club since 1896. As part of an ambitious £80m redevelopment project to transform the facilities and set the club up for the future, T-T supplied robust and reliable double hinge flap valves to minimise backflow and improve drainage.

The Problem

In 2019, Fulham FC announced plans to redevelop their iconic stadium, with plans approved to ‘purchase’ part of the Thames to extend the facilities into the river. The result would be an increase in stadium capacity along with new restaurants, gym, rooftop swimming pool and publicly accessible riverside walkway. 

As part of the circa £80m project, there was an urgent requirement for robust and reliable double hinge flap valves to minimise tidal backflow and improve the aesthetics of outfall associated with surface drainage. 

The Solution

Working alongside our client, T-T supplied 1 x 400mm, 1 x 200mm and 1 x 150mm flap valves. These items are held in stock for speedy next-day delivery, meeting the needs of the project and ensuring it could stay on track.

T-T offers a complete range of double hinge flap valves to suit differing requirements and applications, ranging from DN80 to DN600. Each flap valve boasts a unique lightweight ductile iron design, a double hinge for optimal sealing and a durable fusion bonded epoxy coating. The backing flange is drilled to facilitate either headwall or flange mounting.
