Package Pumping Station at Historical Church

T-T was tasked with installing a Mercury® Package Pumping Station at St. Mary’s Church in Nantwich, a historic location that required an innovative wastewater solution to accommodate the growing number of visitors to the site. What was expected to be a standard installation quickly turned into an eventful day, with the discovery of concealed artifacts during excavation. Despite the interruption, the installation was completed successfully, and the new facilities have been welcomed by both the church and its visitors.
Project Challenges
St. Mary’s Church, known for its historical significance, had long been in need of updated restroom facilities to meet the needs of its growing congregation and visitors. The installation of a modern Mercury® Package Pumping Station was essential to providing these much-needed amenities.
However, the project encountered an unexpected challenge during the excavation process. As the T-T Pumping Stations® installation team dug the hole for the new pumping station, they uncovered artifacts that required immediate attention. This discovery led to a temporary halt in the project as archaeologists were called in to investigate the items, creating an unanticipated delay in the timeline.
The Solution
After the artifacts were examined (with no hidden treasures found), the team was able to proceed with the installation. The Mercury® Package Pumping Station was selected as the ideal solution to handle the wastewater needs of the new toilet facilities. The Mercury® station is designed for efficient, reliable performance in environments like St. Mary’s Church, where space and historical preservation are important considerations.
The pumping station was strategically placed and installed to service the new restroom facilities while ensuring minimal disruption to the church's grounds and its visitors. The team managed the project with care, ensuring that the installation was completed to a high standard while addressing the unique challenges presented by the church’s location.
Outcome
Despite the unexpected delay due to the artifact discovery, the Mercury® Package Pumping Station was successfully installed and commissioned, bringing much-needed restroom facilities to the church. These new facilities were designed to accommodate the growing number of visitors who come to St. Mary’s Church, ensuring their comfort and improving the overall experience at the site.
The installation of the pumping station was a key part of the church's broader plan to enhance its amenities and better serve the local community. The church was extremely satisfied with the installation process, the quality of the product, and the level of customer service provided by T-T Pumping Stations®.
