Small Contractor Pumps Boost International Trade
T-T has been working hard to develop relationships with companies overseas as export becomes an increasingly important market for our company. We understand that one small order for a small contractor pump can really be the start of something great...
Over the years T-T have focused our efforts at various trade shows and exhibitions, meeting contacts new and old, in order to maintain and grow our customer base. Last year we exhibited at the Flood Expo, at London ExCel, where we showcased our range of pumps, valves and controls for flood defence, prevention and emergency dewatering solutions.
Our range of small and mighty products soon caught the eye of an overseas company from South Africa, Dry Force, a Disaster Recovery Company.
A Sustainable Pump Solution for Flooding in South Africa
This company in particular were looking for a sustainable solution from the UK pump market to add to their range of products. Due to large storms in the localised area Dry Force supply a range of solutions for residential and commercial properties that have suffered the damaging effects of flooding. While having problems with the quality of suppliers' pumps and acknowledging UK designed products normally have a higher level of standards, the company required a durable solution that would stand the test of time.
T-T's Small Contractors Pumps Meet the Criteria
The team at Dry Force was particularly interested in T-T's small contractor's pumps - the PuddlePal®, Liberator® and Trencher®, a range of submersible and portable pumps for multiple applications, including removing nuisance flood waters. After liaising with T-T's sales team, Dry Force was supplied with a range of technical data and information so she could make an informed decision on our range of products and their appropriate use within Duty Force's business.
This week we were very pleased to see the Dry Force team at our offices in Woore, who were keen to pass by during their visit to the UK to check out our range of pumps and make their first order for the PuddlePal®. This pump is known for its ability to pump down to 1mm, making it ideal for removing water from flat surfaces such as flooding in houses. A compact, light and powerful pump that is highly adaptable, the company also saw it as an investment in Duty Force's fleet in South Africa due to the conversion kits available. The conversion kit allows the PuddlePal pump to be converted to work as our Liberator® pump (and vice-versa, Liberator® can work as a PuddlePal®), improving fleet optimisation, and catering to an even wider range of applications for the cost of one pump.
Developing International Relationships
It might look like a small order but we are very pleased to have this new relationship with a South African company. While looking into export opportunities, it's great to see our products are recognised further afield for their superior quality. Our reputation in the export market has been growing steadily over the years and it is these small initial orders which allow us and the company to test the grounds and hopefully result in larger orders in the future.
