Urgent Electric Submersible Pump for Longleat Safari Park

Urgent Electric Submersible Pump for Longleat Safari Park

With a very quick turnaround time, an electric submersible pump was required for post lockdown reopening of Longleat Safari Park in Wiltshire. T-T provided a fast dispatch to avoid any unwanted delays, resulting in a very happy client.

The Problem

First opened in 1966, Longleat was the first drive-through safari park outside Africa and remains one of the UK’s most popular wildlife attractions, pulling in an estimated one million visitors each year. Located between Bath and Salisbury, the park is home to over 500 animals including tigers, lions, zebras, giraffes, hippopotamus and monkeys, as well as a diverse selection of birds and sea creatures. Visitors can explore numerous reserves, including a 60-acre East African Game Reserve, Tiger Territory and Monkey Jungle.

With the relaxation of lockdown restrictions, Longleat Safari Park was preparing to reopen its doors on 12th April. To assist with this, the client required a robust fully submersible contractor’s pump that would provide long-term reliability and durability. The park was due to reopen imminently, meaning a very quick turnaround was required to ensure the works remained on track.

The Solution

After receiving the enquiry, T-T provided a quote within 30 minutes and an order was placed within the hour for a TT505C Fully Submersible De-Watering Pump for clean or silty water.

With a cast aluminium construction, the TT505C is a robust electric pump that delivers first-rate durability, making it ideal for sites with tough working conditions and a range of applications including large water features, nuisance water and civil construction.

The TT505C electric submersible pump provides superior protection against wear and tear, with all the main components constructed from sturdy aluminium alloy. It is also designed to protect against motor contamination, featuring a rubber coated suction plate and robust mechanical shaft seal and oil chamber that separates the motor from the pumped liquid.

Available for fast dispatch, the TT505C comes with a choice of a 2.6, 9.6 or 20 amp output. Each unit has an 80mm discharge and a maximum capacity of 16 litres per second.
