Historic T-T505 Pump Resurfaces After 35 Years of Service

Historic T-T505 Pump Resurfaces After 35 Years of Service

A remarkable surprise unfolded at the T-T Repairs Centre when a customer brought in a T-T505 Submersible Effluent Pump for repair. Upon checking our records, we discovered that this pump was supplied to an installer 35 years ago, making it one of the very first T-T505 units ever sold.

What made this discovery even more astonishing was that the current property owner, who has lived there for 30 years, had no prior knowledge of the pumping system. It was only during recent building work that the long-forgotten pumping station was uncovered. Despite its neglected state, the pump was still operational. Impressed by its durability, the customer decided to purchase a brand-new T-T505 while refurbishing the old pump as a backup unit.

T-T505: A Legacy of Reliability

The T-T505 Submersible Effluent Pump has long been a trusted name in the industry due to its robust construction and dependable performance. Designed for efficiency, one of its standout features is its ability to pump at zero head without the risk of overloading. Additionally, it boasts a cutter facility that reduces destructible solids to less than 15mm, ensuring optimal functionality.

With its low-head capability, the T-T505 is an ideal solution for replacement scenarios where system hydraulic data is uncertain. Installers appreciate this versatility, as it minimizes the risks associated with varying head conditions.

Upgraded but True to Its Roots

While the T-T505 has undergone improvements over the years, its core features have remained unchanged. Available in both 230V and 400V models, the pump can be supplied with an Auto Coupling or a Hose Tail and Base for free-standing applications. Moreover, it is stocked and ready for same-day dispatch.
