T-T Expands ATEX Approved Range for Hazardous Environments

T-T is proud to announce an expansion of their ATEX-approved product range, offering solutions for liquid handling in Zone 1-rated applications. These products, which include submersible sewage pumps, chopper pumps, and level control systems, are specifically designed for environments where there is a potential for explosive atmospheres, including industries that deal with chemicals, gases, and wastewater treatment.

Why ATEX Certification Matters:

ATEX certification is essential for products used in hazardous environments, ensuring safety in areas where there is a risk of explosion due to the presence of combustible gases, vapours, or dust. T-T’s ATEX approved products are rigorously tested to meet the stringent requirements of these environments.

Key Additions to T-T’s ATEX Approved Range:

Submersible Sewage Pumps: T-T’s range of Uniqa and Grey submersible sewage pumps now includes models with ATEX approval. Available with motors ranging from 1.5kW to 355kW, these pumps have been tested to ensure their reliability in explosive environments, meeting the strict standards required by Water Authorities for adoptable pumping stations. 

PTS-EX Chopper Pumps: The new PTS-EX Chopper Pump has been developed in response to ongoing issues with ragging, fatbergs, and clogging in sewer systems and pumping stations. The chopping action effectively breaks down solid materials into smaller, manageable pieces, ensuring smoother operation and preventing blockages in the system. This ATEX-approved chopper pump is designed to address critical challenges faced by many in the wastewater sector.

FLO101 Float Switch: T-T has also invested in the development of the FLO101 float switch, which has achieved ATEX and IECEx approval. After extensive research and collaboration with industry experts, the FLO101 is now certified for use in Zone 0 applications. The float switch contains a low-current microswitch, compatible with intrinsically safe systems, ensuring reliable operation in hazardous gas environments.
