T-T Supports Local Schools with Engineering Workshops

At T-T, we believe in inspiring the next generation of engineers from an early age. While it may seem young to discuss careers with ten and eleven-year-olds, we recognise the importance of sparking interest in engineering and showing children the exciting opportunities available in this field.
We often ask ourselves: what would the world do without engineers? Engineering plays a crucial role in designing, creating, and facilitating daily life, and we are committed to ensuring that the next generation remains engaged in this essential profession. Our workshops aim to introduce young minds to the world of engineering, helping them discover and develop their skills in a fun and interactive way.
So far, we have had the pleasure of visiting several local schools, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Seeing the enthusiasm and excitement from the children reassures us that our efforts are making a real impact.
The workshops begin with a lively show-and-tell session featuring our products. We challenge the students to guess what our team members do for a living and what T-T specialises in—their imaginative answers never fail to entertain! Next, we guide the children through activities designed to help them understand their unique skill sets and how these can be developed for a future career in engineering. Finally, we put their creativity to the test with a competition to design the best new control panel for T-T!
Jane Delicata, our Controls Manager leading the workshops, shares her motivation: “I got into engineering at a young age when I helped my father in his workshop. I feel passionate about passing this knowledge on to the next generation, showing them that with effort and passion, they can achieve anything. The workshops have been a great success so far, and I hope we continue to inspire as many local children as possible.”
