Tree Planting Initiative to Offset Carbon Footprint

As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability, T-T has planted over 100 new indigenous trees, further reinforcing its environmental responsibility. This initiative builds on the company’s longstanding tree planting programme, which saw an additional 250 trees planted in early 2020.
Located near Woore, T-T’s growing woodland now spans over two acres, providing a vital habitat for diverse species, including Red Oak, Lime, Cherry, Alder, Beech, Birch, and Willow trees. This expansion aligns with the company’s wider eco-friendly initiatives, which include sustainable packaging, car-sharing incentives, and a transition toward a paperless office.
Lloyd Swale, a Control Systems Technician and member of the T-T Green Team, highlighted the long-term benefits of the initiative:
"For over 20 years, T-T has been dedicated to enhancing natural resources and wildlife habitats through tree planting. Our woodland has flourished, and we are now implementing careful management practices, including coppicing and scrub clearance, to encourage natural regeneration."
The company’s environmental efforts were further recognised last year with the achievement of ISO 14001 accreditation, demonstrating a structured approach to sustainability. The T-T Green Team continues to lead new projects, ensuring that green initiatives remain a core focus.
Managing Director, Bob Nash, emphasised the company’s dedication to reducing its carbon footprint:
"We take our environmental impact seriously, and tree planting is just one of the ways we are actively working toward a greener future. Every member of our team is committed to making T-T as sustainable as possible, and we look forward to building on these initiatives in the years to come."
With plans already in place for further planting next winter, T-T remains committed to environmental stewardship, ensuring the woodland continues to thrive while making a lasting impact on the planet.
