How-to: Use a Liberator & Puddlepal Conversion Kit

T-T's Liberator® and PuddlePal® contractor submersible drainage pumps are lightweight, compact, and powerful. The Liberator® is designed for use in groundwater applications where sand and silt are present, whereas the PuddlePal® can pump down to 1mm, making it ideal for removing water from flat surfaces.

Our conversion kits allow you to convert a Liberator® into a PuddlePal® and vice versa on-site, giving you one pump with two functions.

How to Convert a Liberator into a PuddlePal

Tools Required:

  • Conversion kit
  • Spinner
  • 10mm spanner

Steps:

  1. Turn the Liberator® on its side and use the spanner to loosen the pins at the bottom.
  2. Remove the pins with the spinner and take off the strainer.
  3. Without the strainer, you will see the volute housing around the impeller. Unscrew the three pins and remove the housing.
  4. Underneath, you will find the inner rubber housing. Place the pump upside down, position the collar from the conversion kit around it, and secure the base.
  5. Screw three pins into place to secure the base. Ensure they are tight enough to prevent air leaks but do not over-tighten to avoid damaging the casing.
  6. The Liberator® has now been successfully converted into a PuddlePal®.

How to Convert a PuddlePal into a Liberator

Tools Required:

  • Conversion kit
  • Spinner
  • 10mm spanner

Steps:

  1. Turn the PuddlePal® on its side and use the spanner to loosen the pins at the bottom.
  2. Use the spinner to remove the pins and take off the pump base.
  3. Turn the pump upside down and place the inner casing from the conversion kit on top.
  4. Take the longer pins and screw them into the larger holes, tightening them with the spanner.
  5. Place the strainer over the top of the casing and screw the smaller pins into the holes.
  6. The PuddlePal® has now been successfully converted into a Liberator® drainage pump.
