Wastewater Air Valve with Energizer (Low Pressure)
CSA SCF-RFP-E
Anti-surge non slam wastewater air valve with energizer
CSA's anti-slam air valve with non-surge technology guarantees safe and efficient sewage system operation.
The three function air valve controls the ingress, discharge and bleed of gasses into pipelines during filling, operation and draining, protecting sewage pipelines from damaging water hammer and vacuums.
The velocity of discharing air is kept to a safe level by the wastewater air valves anti-surge mechanism that prevents water hammer.
The anti-surge valve is constructed in ductile iron for a strong and low maintenance design.
Technical Specification
- Range: DN50 - DN200
- Flanges: EN1092, PN16 (alternative on request)
- Maximum working pressure: 16 bar
- Minimum pressure: 0.05 Bar (lower on request)
- Body - 1.5 x PN (24.0 bar)
- Temperature range: -10°C to 60°C, insulate at 0°C and below
- Hydraulic: EN12266
- Coating: RAL5005 fusion bonded epoxy
Features
- Large conical lower body profile to avoid deposits of grease and other materials which potentially could restrict free float movement. Integral ribs ensure float alignment for optimal efficiency.
- The internal mechanism, including large ANSI 316 stainless steel float, directly acts upon the air release system. No internal linkages.
- Drainage valve for chamber control and aid draining during maintenance.
- Rapid fill technology anti-surge automatism comprises two precision machined solid polypropylene floats. The upper float is automatically deployed during occasions of high velocity, reducing the speed of approaching fluid preventing potentially damaging water hammer events.
- Small orifice assembly featuring wear resistant compression control (patient pending)
- Maintenance can easily be undertaken without removing the valve from the line due to its split body design.
- Strong ductile iron body with corrosion resistant fusion epoxy coating
Applications
- Sewage main transmission lines
- Treatment plants
- Irrigation systems in presence of solids/debris in suspension
- Whenever the technology of air valves for treated water can’t be used, for the risk of clogging and damages to the internal components, and the proper protection of the system has to be provided
